The shortest Color-Guide for your next Graphic Design Project

I’m putting out a short guide to improve your color selection process for Visual Design Project. This is basically a collection of notes I’ve gathered from Coursera courses & Internet resources.

Every color reflects a human emotion. Above diagram gives a clear picture of this fact. Following list gives a brief idea on how to choose colors according emotions.

Colors and their Emotions

Example 1: You are designing a logo for a Dental Clinic. And you believe the logo should be either Orange or Blue in color.

The color dilemma

In this case, Choosing Blue over Orange makes sense because Bluey shades are much calmer than orangey shades. And according to the Color-Emotion guide, Blue feels just right for clinics.

Example 2: You are working on a Brochure or a Project Report & You are unable to choose the perfect font color

In this case, Choose font color according to background colors. As shown in above image, Green color looks much better than bright red.
